Feb. 23, 2023 — Seven high school students from Kansas and Oklahoma have been awarded $30,000 to $45,000 each as the newest recipients of the Koch Scholarship at Wichita State University.

Feb. 7, 2023 - Actor, digital creator and TikTok influencer Chris Olsen will speak about his rise to fame during An Evening with Chris Olsen at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at the Wichita State University Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex.

Feb. 6, 2023 - Caroline Tallent started her quest to play college softball with a narrow search. She prioritized her interest in engineering before athletics. Wichita State fits the select number of schools with strong engineering and strong softball. Tallent knew about the school because of basketball, liked the Shocker mascot, and emailed coach Kristi Bredbenner.

Jan. 27, 2023 — Wichita State University has selected the 2023 recipients of the Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships. Each student will receive a $64,000 scholarship to attend Wichita State University in August 2023.

Jan. 24, 2023 — Wichita State University has selected the top 14 finalists in the annual Distinguished Scholarship Invitational (DSI).

Jan. 20, 2023 - In December, the National Science Foundation Convergence Accelerator Track awarded a Wichita State-led team a $750,000 grant to gather information and create digital maps of indoor spaces that could be used by persons with disabilities.

Jan. 18, 2023 - High school seniors now have more opportunity to take advantage of freshmen merit scholarships – worth up to $16,000 over four years at Wichita State University — because of a new deadline for applicants.

She watched the business world change and decided to study the new landscape, aided by an extra year of eligibility granted to all student-athletes by the NCAA due to the pandemic.

Oct. 31, 2022 – Two Medical Laboratory Sciences students at Wichita State University are the second recipients of the $280,000 annual endowed scholarship gift from Southcentral Pathology.

Oct. 20, 2022 — The FirePoint Innovations Center at Wichita State University wrapped up the second year of its Future Innovators Program, an engineering internship opportunity that provides some of America’s brightest engineers from historically under-represented communities the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and programs that directly support the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Center and the Department of Defense.

Oct. 18, 2022 — Wichita State University student organizations, the Community Service Board, and fraternity and sororities completed 13,857 service hours in fiscal year 2022. Oct. 3, 2022 — A research team led by researchers with Wichita State’s College of Engineering and Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences recently received funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for their proposal, "The Development of a Smart Telehealth ECG and Human Activity Monitoring System to Improve Cardiovascular health of Older Adults."
